When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Major Wumbalis is a very odd fish in that he loves both destroying bad guys and growing pretty flowers and is also not actually a fish. Which would make it kind of hard to be an odd fish, he supposes, but one mustn't fret over minor details such as--

AHEM. Anyway, Major Wumbalis serves as the major of a local coastal army, diligently patrolling the seas while wearing a beautiful crown of self-grown lilacs on his head. While some of his comrades laugh at this, the utter terror of having a dragon attacking you whilst wearing pretty flowers--a combination which clearly proves they're insane and will think nothing of eating you and your children--is not to be underestimated! Yet alas, this same brilliant strategical choice led to his downfall; a passing pink-obsessed water dragon found his fashion sense quite adorable and promptly declared she would stop at nothing to make him her husband and or pet. Not that he minds, though; she's friendly, pretty, and she grows FLOWERS!
