Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Except for the occasional flicker of movement, it remains inanimate.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Being a Stone dragon, Rutile remains a placid fixture in the main cave where the mothers, eggs, and hatchlings live. He tries his very best to remain still, but unfortunately he was born with chronic sniffles. He is determined to stay still and serene as he watches the other hatchlings play, but before long a powerful and often adorable sneeze sends him flying off balance and back on his rear.
