Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s very festively colored.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

As soon as the Christmas season peeks around the corner, snow begins to blanket the cave floors, and Christmas trees glitter in the darkness, EG's Little Drummer Boy cannot help but to throw himself into the Christmas spirit! He frolics about the cave, crying out to all of the dragons that they should too get into the spirit. Finally, upon Christmas eve, he begins to beat his tail on a small drum that he created himself out of cattle hide and a hollow log. All of the other dragons gather around and take in the beauty of the holiday and the steady hollow rhythm of Little Drummer Boy's drum as they await the festive morning to arrive.
