Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rumour has been told that a young Magma Dragon named Magikira had been entrusted with the role in which her ancestors before her had taken...As Protector of an Ancient Nebulon Canyon. She is said to be a kind and protective Magma Dragon, always allowing those that needed to travel through the canyon, seeking the Lakes of Wisdom and Health, a safe passage. She will also protect the Canyon from those who wish to taint the Lakes with their evil, twisted hearts by means of unholy magic.

In recent years the Lakes have been forgotten in time so Magikira has had nothing to do but rest in the magma pits at the mouth of the Canyon, waiting for the next adventurer in need of wisdom and good health. She shares her home with Nebular Dragons from time to time as she is in Nebular territory. Only in the rare Breeding season will she leave the Canyon in search of a suitable mate.

When one senses danger, a protector can summon the other protectors worldwide and together summon the Guardian Dragon.
