Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Jaxarla was born without a leg. Unfortunately, this meant that she had to be frozen to prevent tainted bloodlines. Sad as this may be, Jaxarla did not continue with life as frozen hatchlings do, that is, she was literally frozen. Nothing like this had ever happened before, and there were some attempts made to figure it out, but it yielded no useful results. So Jaxarla, typically referred to as 'the black statue' was placed in the sleeping area of the nocturne dragons. But unlike them, who awaken at night, Jaxarla will never stir again.
