Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It hatched with fins instead of legs and did not seem to react well to freshwater, so you relocated it to the nearest ocean.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Coral, who swears she is female, can often be found in the deepest water in Kanaye's cave. She delights in the coral reef Kanaye painstakingly transplanted there, darting in and out as if it were her personal playground. She does her best to care for it, when she is not playing.

Sometimes Kanaye will thrust someone's hands into the water near her playground and Coral will swim up and obligingly wrap her body around their wrists, effectively cuffing them, until Kanaye gives the signal to let go. This seems to be her only human contact but she doesn't mind one bit, loving her reef with all her tiny heart.
