Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Much like Pandimus, Penumbrai considers himself to be a herald of the evening. Though Pandimus has taken the role of "announcer" most seriously, and applies himself every evening to the task with great fervor, Penumbrai takes a different approach.

Each night when the sun goes down, he takes it upon himself to touch noses, briefly, with every one of his scrollmates to send them safely to sleep. He does not cast a sleeping spell—which would not work on many of the pack—but rather assures them that he is aware of their presence and their need for rest. It is his way of showing commitment to guard their sleep, and to assure them that it is safe to let down their defenses.

Even Poison's brood of vine dragons, notorious for their crankiness, seems to understand the gift he is giving and accepts it in kind. The hatchlings are especially enamored of this ritual and love to get their nightly embrace—no dragon worth his scales would call it a "snuggle"!
