Electric Dragons wield electricity with great prowess. Bright sparks race across these dragons’ bodies in a dazzling dance of light, complemented by the blindingly radiant sparks on their tails. Using their bellies and manes as stores for this electrical energy, Electric Dragons wield crackling magic, stunning and electrocuting their prey with a whip of their tail. During mating season it is typically those with the most brilliant sparks—an indicator of strength and hunting ability—that are drawn to each other.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A strange quirk about electric dragons is that they seem to have an etiquette system. When communicating with each other, they brush tails or wingtips occasionally. Watching, one can see different swaths of electricity passing from dragon to dragon. A dragon keeper who particularly loved his electric dragon was the first to notice that the size, or strength of the volt was accompanied by certain body language. Comparing his dragons interactions with others, he confirmed that the volts meant certain things. Interpreting using the body language of other dragons, he figured out that a strong short volt was a friendly gesture, while if a dragon exchanged a prolonged strong blast, the two might be fighting soon. Alas, the keeper died last year, from a short, strong fizzling  shock that stopped his heart. Looking on his scroll, you can see what his interpretation was.

"I love you."
