When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A sudden bolt of lightning lit up the sky, illuminating a lone ship lost at sea. At the mercy of the waves the ship was being tossed and pitched; it was a wonder more hadn't died. One raised his head, squinting to see in the pouring rain. A shape rose above the waves and then disappeared again with a flick of a tail that reflected what little light there was. That was the last thing he ever saw. The monster crashed down, destroying the ship, the remaining sailors drowning in the rough waves. Laeviathan roared with delight--- this truly heartless dragon loves to play the part of the villain. He thinks that it's hilarious to watch sailors scream for mercy from a beast they think is only myth and even more so when they realize they were wrong. It is a dangerous game of cat and mouse that Laeviathan plays, but sadistic and full of hatred to the humans for trying to lay claim upon the ocean, he only prides himself in the numerous hulls that litter the ocean floor near his underwater home.
