When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Scanrali is a very quiet and withdrawn dragon. He doesn't say much, possibly owing to his condition known as "itchy feet." No, it's not a real medical condition, he just loves exploring and is itching to see new places. Lucky for him, he chose a very large lake to live in. There are also quite a few big rivers leading elsewhere coming to and from his lake, and he is often gone for days at a time exploring up one. He hasn't made it to the ocean yet, but it's only a matter of time until he picks the right river and makes it all the way to the sea. When he does get to the ocean, we'll never get him  to come home!
