Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems to sleep during the day and glow when it wakes up at night.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Tiny Moonstone doesn't like when others yank her feathers or call her Glow Butt. Any time she mentions that the shine is due to the moon's power, it leads to jokes among the hatchlings that her bottom is an enormous pale ball with holes. Tiny Moonstone often fantasizes about crushing their skulls with her impressive thighs or disemboweling them with a kick, but she is not outwardly violent, and the thought slowly dissipates. Instead, she retreats to her rocky corner to curl up and feel sorry for herself.
