Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Jingle of the Bells, or Jingle for short, hatched to find herself sitting in a cold snowdrift. She wanted desperately to go back and hide into the safety and protection of the egg, to shelter from the wind and raging blizzard, but she was getting far too big to fit back inside. Braving the elements, she wandered around, until she came across a huge and warm cave, where she was accepted happily into the clan. She soon stumbled across another Christmas dragon, and quickly became friends with her, Belle of the Carols.

Now, the two friends are inseparable, are were very close friends, almost to the point of sisters. But seeing as they're the only Christmas dragons in their clan, they would become the slightest bit lonely every once in a while.
