Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The night was almost over, dawn was steadily approaching. Imfee stared out of the cave's entrance. Her black scales gave her the perfect night camouflage, only her eyes could sometimes be seen glinting in the faint light. Every morning she sat there, waiting. If nothing else, this proved her patience and endurance, though it kept her emotionally unstable.

As the valley was slowly tinted in reds, she sat there, contemplating the past.

When she closed her eyes, she could smell him again. Flying with the wind, his muzzle pulled in a dazzling smile. His voice whispering sweet promises, carried away by the breeze. In the end, he had betrayed her, leaving her forever scared of trusting again. A bitter smile crosses Imfee's face as she opens her eyes again.

He promised to come back to her one day. Her heart bled, but she was stubborn and determined. It had been many winters since. And still she sat waiting for him every day, hoping that he would finally return to her. He never did.
