Perhaps not. It seems to be active during the night.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Simria is a more well-behaved hatchling amongst her age group. She harbors friendship with one of the most annoying hatchlings: Rixer, but she doesn't mind watching him get into trouble or try something way out of his league. She likes to observe her surroundings and she's very cautious of the newer areas the clan travels. This potentially makes her a perfect lookout in the future, a well desired position by her clan that would surely put her near the top of the clan ranks which will give her more privileges over others.
