Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It must be very shy since it keeps hiding from you.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Many years ago, a group of Mint Eggs were found, sick and close to dying. The eggs were hatched through the tender loving care of several dragons in their adopted Cave but they were too sick to survive. Thus, the hatchlings were frozen in order to keep them as healthy as possible. Freya is a shy little dragon. It can often be seen on the outskirts of other groups of hatchlings, watching. Although Freya runs away whenever it is approached by another dragon, the adults in the Cave assume that Freya really wants to make friends, just has no idea how.
