Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A pink dragon with no known name appeared in Nehane's village. It was on its deathbed... She had a small pink egg in her mouth with a few patches of dirt on it. Nehane petted the dragon's head and took the egg while slowly wiping the dirt off of its surface. They buried the dragon and the whole town was silent. Nehane promised to take care of this egg forever. This egg hatched more quickly than most and grew its wings faster too. Nehane was glad at its progression. She fell in love with this hatchling. She was bright pink and had blue eyes. Nehane named her Yuuki of Edward. It meant Little Princess of Edward. It had been rumored that Yuuki's father had been named Edward. Yuuki loved to swim in the small lake and play with the creatures. Once Yuuki grew up she stuck around Nehane, not wanting to leave her. She was like a small pet.
