Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Whereas her eternal mate Vidrio is the burning soul of the two, Cazar is the subtle mistress behind the curtains, directing her beloved's unquenchable ambition and fiery spirit to whatever need best serves their purpose. Though she may be yet newly grown, Cazar has always had the calculating, shrewd mind that has already made her relatively feared in the horde. She, like her Vidrio, does not know who turned her, and frankly, she doesn't care. Without Vidrio, however, Cazar is severely weakened, but when they are together, they can be nigh impossible to stop. They are starting a small vampiric family by stealing abandoned eggs and turning them in the night, much to several horde members' displeasure and worry. While she may present a softer side to Vidrio and their family, Cazar is ruthless and shows no mercy to all others, and holds a grudge for an incredibly long time. She will never forget when she is wronged, and will relentlessly pursue the offender until she exacts her revenge.
