White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Iriu is what most humans imagine a white dragon to be like—someone serene and untroubled who spreads peace and healing wherever she goes.  Other white dragons tend to find her either really inspiring or really irritating, depending on their temperament (Kioren in particular has been heard to mutter about patients always expecting him to be like that plague-take-her saintly white dragon).  Iriu has never been seen to get angry or annoyed, even with the most difficult patients, and while she may express her frustration later to her mate Bevhara, Bevhara never repeats what she hears to others.
