Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pyromaniac Emberwing, or Pyro for short, is a young Magma dragon. Unlike his father, Asher Emberglow, he has pretty low self-esteem and spends a lot of time alone in the forest. He has a bad habit of burning things for fun or on accident by simply touching things. He once burnt about 20 cottages to the ground in Drakeville by accident, which has gotten him many restraining orders from the citizens. Since his mother is a Thunder and his father is a Magma, he has the ability to create both fire and lightning, but lightning a lot less so and more rarely. His parents had been searching for an Ice dragon for many years, and he had decided to go on a quest to find an Ice egg. He once found an Ice egg, but accidentally turned it into a Water dragon by melting the ice. However, he soon found another and waited for it to hatch before he took it back to his parents. He currently has no specified mate.
