Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Temann is extremely slow to anger and prefers to live in a peaceful environment. Serach's angry tantrums make him nervous and he is timid in the face of her fiery temper, but he cares a great deal for her and will do anything he can for her. Not long after they met, his leg was injured in a fight with another dragon many years ago, before AngelKitty had acquired any white dragons. As such, his leg never healed quite right, and he walks with a pained limp. While he cannot do everything he would like to do with those he loves, he is still a devoted father and mate. He will never attack unprovoked and rarely even if provoked, preferring to give warnings to whoever is antagonizing him for fear of re-injuring his leg.
