Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon never asked for his fate.

He was attacked and turned in the nest, despite his parent's desperate attempts to save him; and when they would have kept him regardless of what he had become, the others in the clan fought them, defeated them through sheer numbers and dropped the bloodsucker out of the cave. The fact that a seer had told his code signified violence didn't help his case.

He hatched in loneliness and has lived that way since, but unlike most vampires he has a heart; he feeds only on those dragons and humans who have committed unforgivable wrongs. But still, what he desires most is a friend.

He has yet to find one, but he did find a cult who captured him and forced him to turn other dragons into vampires to serve in their army; and upon escaping, he stumbled across another vampire, Evisceratis...

He wasn't exactly pleasant.
