Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It glows with some form of arcane energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Iola was born in a farmstead just two miles from the famous Dragon Cave sometime during the summer. A sweet and docile creature, Iola had made friends with the stable boy early on after hatching. He can be seen following the boy as he performs his daily duties, occasionally attempting to aid him in his chores. As a Magi Dragon, Iola is an adept magic user and has great knowledge of the various magics of our world. In his youth, Iola made the decision to cast a spell on himself to halt his ageing process as to not frighten the farm creatures when he matured.
