Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Malena Vanessa Valeray is the daughter of Vladimir Vadim Valeray, who lives with a very nice stranger named Jenneta. Malena one night was strolling with her father and Jenneta when a stranger- her owner that she lives with now- came across their path. The stranger had a male vampire hatchling. Jenneta noticed Malena staring at the human with interest in her eyes. Jenneta made a deal with the stranger- if she could have the male vampire hatchling, Malena could go and live with the stranger. The stranger accepted the offer and now Malena lives with the stranger. Malena is shy and timid, being very grouchy when bothered. When she is around other vampires besides family she gets very awkward. Now, when she's around family and close friends, it's a whole different story. When she is around friends and family she is trusting and playful. Malena is a wonderful vampire and her owner loves her very much.
