Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Pots sees herself as one of the wise shamans of the clan and many share that opinion. She hears the turning of the tides in the colours of a newly hatched dragon's scales. She reads the past from the song of birds. And she's going to taste the future from the prophecies painted in the wind.

There is another faction of dragons that think she is quite cuckoo and listened to the Black dragoness Sally once too often.
