Script Dragons are named for the markings along their wings and sides that look almost like calligraphy. The patterns correspond to no known language, and are slightly different on every dragon. These dragons only develop the characteristic markings when they reach maturity, and they are fairly capable with magic once the patterns appear.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Novelity is highly intelligent. He prefers studying other dragons over hunting or fighting. He has a special interest in dragon breeds with aggressive tendencies, such as Hellfire Wyverns and Dark Green Dragons. It is not rare to see him interacting with hatchlings of aggressive species, trying to figure out whether their hostility is natural or learned.

This has resulted in quite a few scars, but Novelity is determined to figure out the true nature of his anger filled cousins.
