Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s rather plain looking, though.

And look! It has grown wings, and bright markings have developed all over its body.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Tod has decided to forsake his kleptomanic ways; never more shall he steal! After so many daring thefts and close-calls, he has looked over all the cookies, sugar, and honey he has stolen, and decided that he deserved not a single one (not that he regrets taking them). So, he has, with no small amount of effort, forced his kleptomania into the back of his mind, so it no longer drives his actions and thoughts.

It is difficult—his very nature demands that he steal, steal, steal—to take all the sweets possible and keep them for himself. But he would—shouldn't, couldn't—revert to his old ways. He has worked too hard to do that to himself.

But... The honey—it beckons.
