Few dragons embody serenity and potential quite as perfectly as Avatars of Creation. They dedicate their abilities to the arts of healing and growing, and their shimmering scales seem to glow in accordance with their mood. The tendrils of an Avatar of Creation grow slowly throughout its life, and the longer the tendrils grow, the more potent its abilities become.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Unlike his older brother, Flaminos, Seren's birth brought much comfort and ease to the Caves of Twilight. Even as a hatchling it was obvious Seren would stand as a fierce opponent to his older brother's chaotic ways. Wherever Flaminos caused chaos, Seren was there to patch up what was damaged or to put out fires.

Because of this, the two brothers are fierce enemies and will fight whenever they are in the same area. Though Flaminos is much more powerful than Seren, he is supported by the many peaceful members of the Caves of Twilight. The other grand guardian of the caves, Sovereign Protector, is also on his side. Seren also has his older sister on his side, so the young hero of the caves is never afraid to stand up to his brother.
