Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Originally, Rinela was found closer to dragons' hoard and was a risky egg to get. Once she hatched, she started to make small lightning bolts and playing with her adopted mother, Aurzu. As she grew, she had came to dislike Kokoro and stay away from him as he showed distrust to her, and she got her surname from a dream her owner had. She started to become distant and started to only be friends to those who came close to her. She would make musical squeaks, as she still does now, and make rhythm with thunder and lightning. She became one of the fastest fliers at the nest. She matured, a little earlier to Hech-To-Ooh, and came to find herself hanging out with Akulua, creating music that both enjoy. One time, she got too close to Akzo and Laekinell. She spat lighting at him and he tossed rocks at her. From that day, they have been enemies.
