Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Royal Shadow Walker Hag was so named for three reasons: the first that Cerimonster had so long desired a Gold dragon for her own and decided that the first Gold dragon that she would own would be considered Royalty amongst her own dragons; only her most prized dragons would be considered Royalty, and Shadow Walker Hag is about the fourth Royal dragon. The second is that she is descended from CB Shadow Walkers, this makes her very proud of her ancestry as she believes that one day it will give her the powers to walk in the world of the living when she dies. The third is that when she was given to Cerimonster, she was born with a name as all dragons are. (Dragons have three names, the ones they are born with, the one they are given, and the one they take on.) The name that she was born with was hagkg, and so Cerimonster decided that this Royal Shadow Walker should take on a third name, Hag. The name that this beauty took for her own was Shadow Hag, despite her beautiful appearance.
