Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Argentise is a jeweler who loves to craft all sorts of bangles. She likes the idea of hoards but doesn't like how secretive most dragons are with them, so her idea of a solution is a wearable hoard. She practices what she preaches, too: her tail, legs, and neck are covered with shimmering circlets of numerous metals, inlaid with gemstones of all sorts and embossed with all manner of patterns. On occasion, dragons visiting her shop will mistake her for a jewelry stand. Her mate, Shimmarion, likes to tease her about this, but he loves her work and often wears as much decoration as his mate.
