Glaucus Drakes have curious personalities. They spend more of their time sunbathing and idly floating in the water than exploring. Because they move very little as they float, Glaucus Drakes can ambush prey relatively easily. They can dive to surprisingly deep depths, and eat a variety of fish and marine plants. Most of them live in tight-knit family groups.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Polynya grew up with his dragon clan in the frozen north. As a hatchling, he was the smallest among his brothers and sisters, so he was often pushed aside and overlooked. When his brothers and sisters purposely left him behind one day when they went off to play a dragon game among the icebergs, the sorrowful Polynya simply curled up on a nearby ice flow, hurt and angry at always being left out. As he was lying on the iceflow, he noticed a group of fishermen boys from a nearby human village. As he watched the boys, he noticed that the youngest was being teased non-stop by the others because of his size. Polynya instantly felt a connection to the small boy and when the other boys had returned to the village, leaving the smallest one to continue fishing alone, Polynya swam right over to to the little boy, gifting him with a fish. Since that day, Polynya and the boy became close friends, a friendship that continued into adulthood with the pair forming a successful fishing entrepreneurship.
