When Water Dragons mature, they lose the ability to survive on land, entering the water permanently. They are adept swimmers and eat whatever fish are in the lake they live in. They tend to inhabit the same lake for their entire lives, although a few live in the ocean and swim all over the world.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

As a water dragon, rippledwater hardly ever goes on land. For him it is out of pride since he would look quite ridiculous flopping about. The lakes in the Petunia Meadows are wide and very deep as the water that supplies them comes from deep in the ground. rippledwater is always complaining about the lakes and rivers being too small. Since arriving in the Meadows he has wanted to improve and multiply the lakes, but since he can't get on the land he is rather limited. So he set out to find a mate who could do more. One adventurous vine caught his eye. She liked to dig down, occasionally popping out one to the banks. However she could not swim very well. rippledwater offered to teach her how in return for more lakes. She snapped at him a few times but eventually gave in. They eventually realized that they loved each other.
