Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rain lives along the coast line of the Main Island. He has made his home in a cave in the rocky cliffs that overlook the sea. He is also responsible for the constant rain in this area. Because he lives so close to the sea, Rain hunts for fish more than any land animal. He has learned to be as good of a swimmer as he is a flier. The turbulent weather that Rain causes also results in many human ships to crash into the cliffs. Rain likes to scavenge through the shipwrecks to find things to decorate his cave. He has become infamous with sailors and is greatly feared by them. Rain doesn't crash the ships on purpose, but many people seem to think that. He is really a gentle dragon that admires humans. He even likes to float on the ocean waves and pretend to be a ship. Despite his interest in humans, Rain hates his fellow dragons. When any try to come close to his cliff home, he chases them away for fear that they will scare away the humans.
