Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Norland is the leader of the Black Dragon fraction and the son of of Sensei. Norland has seen many adventures, including fighting in the grandest war the Twin Valleys of Penath have ever seen—the Great Server Beast War. This beast felled most of the dragons in the Realm with its evil magic, de-digitizing every dragon but the strongest of the realm. The Server Beast enslaved most of the remaining dragons, placing them in corrupted memory blocs. Norland and a small band of uncaptured Magi Drags devised a plan, and used their deepest magic to destroy the Server Beast. In the end they did destroy it, and with their magic re-digitized all of the realms dragons, and all was at peace. Norland cherishes the Great Server Failure as his grandest adventure.
