Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Balthazar is among some of the smaller dragons in the Tradewinds weyr, but he makes up for his lack of size with a whole lot of personality. In a way like his weyr-brother, Blitzen, he enjoys playing harmless pranks on people. Usually by sending a puff of wintery wind, enough to flutter hair and clothes and nothing much more. He means no harm by it, and uses other such powers as his breed-known snow creation to help those dragons more attuned to arctic or winter climates when the weather takes a turn against them, as well as lighting up the sky in auroras on occasion to entertain guests and other young dragons in the weyr. His sole purpose seems to be making people and dragons alike laugh and smile, and when they do, so does he.
