Blacktip Dragons are a small, shore-dwelling breed that tend to nest on sheer ocean side cliffs. They live in groups under a dominant female, who prevents her subordinates from breeding. During the mating season, a group of Blacktips can be very noisy and smelly indeed; males produce a distinctive musky odor and loud, low-pitched honking noises in an attempt to woo the alpha female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

White against the cloudless sky, the gulls soar in lazy circles over white-capped waves, their iconic cries echoing in the endless expanse of water. With them drifts a dragon, black-tipped wings sweeping to match her flock's movements. Several fold their wings and drop towards the waves, talons extended for the shimmering fish that swim beneath. She follows, letting out a cry of sheer joy. Sacath has always felt more at home among the shrewd sea birds who make their nests in the cliffs and crags along the rocky shore than with her own kind. In her clan she was suppressed and inferior. But the gulls live in constant struggle for survival; there is little thought to superficial qualities such as lineage and appearance. Out here in the wild, with the sun at her back and her flock beside her, she is free.
