Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Herein lies tragedy and curiously bittersweet hope. Darkness, after all, dreams salvation and love is the light of the spark in one's heart. West of the Sun, East of the Moon was born knowing the shape and form of her lifemate. When they hatched his first words named her in the Old Tongue. Awed by the beauty of that secret title, it took her time to find his. One day he was kidnapped by rogue dragons and she struggled with growing her wings, ever calling his name. Some years later she drew close to a cave. Her mate was there, and he was every inch as familiar to her as her own flesh and blood. The other dragon however, wasn't. He'd forgotten. She came away from the cave just as they noticed her presence. West of the Sun, East of the Moon inclined her head. She spoke to him, in that secret language. That he was her forever love, and she would not fight for the sake of his young. And finally, she whispered his name on the wings of the wind that carried her away.
