Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has large frills on its head.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

"Hi, I'm Ampharos!" was the very first thing this goofy looking dragon uttered. That is, in fact, the only phrase he can utter, other than the words "Hi!" and "Ampharos!" This has, naturally, made him an awkward one to talk to. He shows signs of little intelligence, but this may or may not be due to the fact that his vocabulary is super limited.

No one in the cave is quite sure what, exactly, an Ampharos is. According to Runezael, the community White dragon, it is a kind of food. According to Pumpitykin Pie, the Pumpkin dragon, it is a kind of hat. To Hi I'm Ampharos, however, it is a way of life.
