Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

It wouldn't exactly be an exaggeration to say that Shake is a special blessing upon the clan. Almost as soon as she hatched (which was extraordinarily early), she set about trying to spread happiness to her fellow clanmates. It could be the fact that she hatched on Christmas Eve, or maybe her fabled magic to spread holiday cheer really does exist. For whatever reason, most of the dragons in the cave find it hard to be in a bad mood when Shake is around. Even Looming Storm, who may be the grouchiest dragon in Clawclan, has been known to stop forming thunderstorms and to speak to her in a kindly manner when they pass each other in the caverns. Yes, Shake is a great gift to the clan, and some even say that TJ himself bestowed her upon the cave. Whether or not these rumors are true, only Shake can say.
