Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Barkskin is as intelligent as drakes, and very proud of his sleek scales, and will get annoyed if someone tried to mess up their shine. Barkskin has been a member of EarthClan since he was born and will always hunt for the group, since he can easily blend into the trees where EarthClan resides he doesn't like patrols as much but will go on one if asked. While he is prissy he is also very curious, if the object of his curiosity could get him dirty then he would still try to examine it. While he had a mate before Smoothclaw, Barkskin had admired her for both her personality and looks, rather than the looks of his first mate. Either way they both have many children together and live happy to this day.
