Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rycil has mastered many forms of magic that help to satisfy his needs, and this has left him with ample free time. Being the scholarly type, he has dedicated his extra time and energy to the study of ancient human languages. First was Latin, and then he moved to Egyptian hieroglyphics and then Greek. Slightly more of a challenge was learning the Chinese characters, but Rycil accomplished that, too. He continues to study more and more languages every time he masters one, and some of the other dragons wonder how he has any friends, what with all of his time devoted to study. They are even more surprised to hear that he has a lovely mate! She has taken a liking to Rycil's extensive knowledge, and they are indeed a happy couple.
