Pink Dragons are primarily herbivores and only eat meat during the mating season, when mates will exchange kills. When it is not breeding season, pink dragons spend most of their time incubating eggs and caring for their clan’s young. Due to their feminine color, it was traditionally thought that pink dragons were a strictly female breed, but this is not true.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Abraham cannot remember his childhood. One day he woke after a storm—his head hurt and he couldn't even remember his own name. Shortly after, he met another young dragon named Naomi. She had also been a victim of the storm and had lost her parents. They travelled far, searching for a place to call home. Eventually they found an island with a fledgling community and settled there.

Abraham is rather timid and very artistic, though he can be very fierce when his family or friends are threatened. He is good friends with Benjamin, another male pink who lives on the island. Abraham and Naomi have three children, one of whom—Mahlah-Dorkface—also lives on the island.
