Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Instead he spends his time alone, collecting gems and other shiny things for his cave or studying out in the sunlight. He readily gives advice for dragons who ask for it, and is known to be wise if a bit impatient and arrogant. He is very protective over a Royal Blue dragon named Faded Moonshine, who was mistreated by humans since his birth.
