Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Endyminion's name came from another name, Endymion, someone who was put into an eternal slumber so that his beauty could be admired for the rest of eternity.

Like his namesake, Endyminion grew up to be beautiful and had many others fawning over him throughout the entirety of his life. Unfortunately, he sleeps too much to notice, only finding the energy to fly at dusk and dawn, and he is otherwise stuck in a state of total exhaustion until then.

A single daydream dragon did their best to communicate using the dreams Endyminion had in his sleep, and the two became close friends after many long conversations. His name is Lakotanu.

It is at dawn and dusk during which they meet outside of sleep; both friends find that it is most enjoyable to fly with their wing tips barely touching or free fall together in a comfortable embrace. Yet, this is not enough for Endyminion whose dreams are filled with the feeling of the wind and Lakotanu pressed against his side. This is probably platonic.
