Her mate, Bane, is also proud of them, and waits patiently for his hatchlings to grow, even before the eggs are laid. But because of her strong maternal instincts, she is often at feud with Illyana, the prime defender of the hatchlings. After particularly heated disputed between the two, the result involves Amyra flying high into the mountains, spinning stones in circles upon the ground until her anger cools.
