Mundus Cantormaris Dragons are a gentle, friendly breed of coastal-dwellers. Their annual migrations at the start of spring are among the first indications that winter has ended. They use their beautiful calls to lure people with a desire for peace to them in an attempt to make lasting friendships. It is considered a sign of good luck for one to hear their calls.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Twice a year, in late winter and late summer, Mundu is the Royal House Doorkeeper, where he disperses the magical lock over the archways to initiate meeting seasons. Only on those two days is he present to oversee the first meeting of the spring and fall, ensuring every dragon follows the agenda and stays peaceful. Very few people know where Mundu is the rest of the year. Even council members can only guess that his home is far away or he's a servant to Her Majesty and has secret assignments. Maybe he just doesn't like appearing in public outside his twice-a-year job. Only his parents, close friends, and Her Majesty know that he's the writer of the three hit songs, "One-Eyed Woman of Lofter", "Mist Father", and "Can't Knock the Porcupine". Those not in the know would never be able to guess.
