Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Epsilon is Epsilon. He never speaks, he occasionally twitches, grunts when he's hungry and stays away from the others. Overall, he's a hermit. If anyone tries to talk to him, he has a habit of abruptly walking away. He'll do anything he's ordered to do, but that's about it. The most anyone has gotten from him when talking is his name—beyond that, it's up to careful observation and, for the extremely dedicated, extended periods of stalking.

Most dragons are pretty certain that Epsilon realizes he's sometimes followed, but whether or not he does know, the whole Cave is in agreement that he doesn't care.
