Balloon Dragons are so named because they are filled with a gas that makes them almost lighter than air, similar to balloons. However, they are not prone to bursting, as they are covered in tough skin and can deflate themselves if necessary. In addition, they generally are slow moving. They use their gas bladders to float to the tops of trees, where food is more abundant. They can shift their weight from their backs to their fronts, allowing them to reach leaves and fruit.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Fruit Flyer was rescued from abandonment by the wizard, Lynn.

Through Lynn's magic, they were able to find his parents. He's named in honor of them, as well as his favorite food.

FF is a bull male, being larger than the average for balloons. He's somewhat lethargic, but does make time to scour the trees in the 'Shaded Hallow' for different fruits and flowers. Sometimes he even brings the extras down for Talnari, and the other herbivores who stay with the clan's young rather than going out to hunt, to eat.

Fruity usually helps the other clan lookouts when he's gathering in the treetops. He can get higher then them with minimal energy, as well as using less energy to stay aloft.

His foraging doesn't take him far from the clan's area, but when it does he always shares stories of what he's seen. Many nights in the cave are filled with Flyer's entertaining the young dragons, as well as warning Lynn and the older dragons of what's happening in the dense forest around their home.
