Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon.
And look! It’s grown its wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don’t grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.
Diligent, gentleman-like, and very refined, Master Quasar Shine is the definition of "perfect hatchling". All of his Tinsel brethren look upon him with pride and hope for the future. However, Quasar can't seem to make friends with any of the other hatchlings in the cave except one. The other hatchlings call him "stuck up" and accuse him of "brown nosing". His close pal Ashes to Ashes Shimmer sees past Quasar's misgivings and loves him just the same.
