Young dragons are relatively defenseless. Their scales don't grow in until right before they mature, and they have almost no strength. Once a hatchling's wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are usually left alone by their mother and begin to hunt and survive on their own.

Skye Charms was an abandoned hatchling near the entrance of the Dragon Cave. Skye recently joined the Guardian Clan. She is the youngest of the clan. Skye is very energetic and peaceful. There's always a second chance, says Skye. She is the most playful because of her energy. Most young hatchlings have a lot of energy currently. Her owner; Cathy; has frozen Skye because lately she was tangled into some incidents with other hatchlings who weren't very happy with Skye's peace motto.
